Ingredients

Directions

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • Cooked white rice, for serving

Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons gochujang, and 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

Step 3: Add the Sauce

Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and clings to the chicken.

Step 4: Serve

Transfer the chicken to a serving platter (or bowl) with over cooked with rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
